, Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung has recently unveiled their newest product, the Galaxy Tab, which they believe can rival Apple's iPad, technically the biggest player in the market category.

Samsung is taking new initiatives after they have lost significant revenues from their mobile phone division, attributed to the intense, ever growing competition in mobile phone market.

But instead of selling the Galaxy Tab directly to the consumers, Samsung will rely heavily on its huge network of friends around the globe. Carrier partners will be the one selling the Galaxy Tab to the consumers. The tablet runs with the latest Android 2.2.

The Samsung Galaxy tablet has a 7-inch screen, 2 cameras, a slot for expandable memory, WiFi enabled, can function as an e-reader, and most importantly, it runs the latest version of the Adobe Flash. According to Samsung, these features make it more the true mobile device.

Samsung has yet to release the standard price for the Galaxy, but a top executive for the company hinted that it will range from $200 to $300. But the price will still vary depending on carrier subsidies.
