Once the deal on Intel's acquisition of computer security company McAfee becomes binding, is it time for us to expect an Intel product with integrated technology from McAfee? In recent reports, Intel promised to integrate the technology they are to acquire from the McAfee acquisition into their own products. This means the computer chips they will be manufacturing will have the kind of security McAfee offers. If this is going to happen, it would be the biggest change to ever happen in both Intel and McAfee and this will speak really huge for others in the industry - security baked in computer chips, a really huge addition especially in cloud computing and the mobile industry. McAfee, and virtually every other anti-virus programs are traditionally add-on software to computers. But once it is baked in computer parts that runs the whole computers, it will become an essential part. If this happens, I sure hope though that you can still install other A/V programs of your choice. My Dell laptop's been equipped with McAfee for its first two years until it expired, and they actually tricked me into buying their renewal. It worked great, but not superb. There are other suspicious programs they can't detect and heal. You can talk about...
